Welcome from a fellow C3 owner. I would keep the 6.0 and use the money saved on upgrades. Just my .02

What are your goals? Any plans of boost? Daily driver, weekend warrior or track queen?

450 N/A is definitely nothing to laugh at. That's pretty serious. I say do the 6.0...spray it if you're wanting a weekend toy or boost it if you want a stout truck, all around. That's how I look at it. Keep it simple, mild-ish cam, and the right supporting mods.

This would be my option...6.0, do the work on the heads, 220's duration cam, lt's, intake, and a good size shot of gas. Then, of course, stall/gears/etc. Simple, it works, and it'll make a good street/strip ride. The stock truck intake is good to 800+ h.p., so no need to mess with it. HPT or EFI LIVE is the best for tuning, but just because you're familiar with Honda's wouldn't necessarily give you a clear pass on tuning the LS. Of course, all of that is just my opinion. I like nitrous, but boost is a good option that I'm sure some of the guys here can elaborate on much more than I can.

For boost use the 317 that were on you truck. If your going to stay na find a set of 243 heads to raise the compression. The ls6 intake can work, but its a lot of work for little to no gain. I used a tbss/nnbs intake and a 90mm tb. A mid 220s cam, 3000-3200 rpm torque converter. Long tube headers, and a free flowing exhaust, I.e. no flowmasters or chambered muffler. Don't forget about the trans and rear end. The stock 4l65e can bearly handle a stock 6.0l. A trutrac would be enough for the rearend. I use efi live and like it. With the mods on my truck I'm at about 420 whp. At sea level I would be closer to 440 or so.
