C5 exhaust manifolds

C5 exhaust manifolds
Anyone know if the stock LS6 exhaust manifolds will fit on our trucks??, I ask because I found a set that have been thermal coated and extrude-honed and are supposed to outflow a set of LS1 headers
I kinda figure that they will probably bolt on and clear all the crap on the drivers side but I know will need to fab the exhaust from there back because I'm sure they won't bolt to the stock downpipes

Re: C5 exhaust manifolds
They are supposed to outflow LS1 shortie headers (the stock LS6 manifolds flow REALLY good to begin with), and 2500's don't have a "Y" pipe, I have true duals with an "X" pipe and two mufflers

they will fit.....you will have to have custom exhaust done. BUT, shortie headers, BARELY outflow stock manifolds, if you spend money on the ones you're looking at you'll be wasting it. just save some more and get a set of TOG/THORLEY/ASM longtubes and get 25rwhp out of them and be happy,

Try it out. Look at {Sp} Brizinsky.com. He is a guy we buy parts from for our dirt track car. Some classes make you run stock manifolds and some guys use these that he has worked. You would be suprised from some of the flow numbers and results they get. Shorties are not worth buying new in my opinion. I got mine used and I could tell a bit of difference. You will see better results of course out of LTs. But hey give them a try you might have stumbled on a quick and cheap mod for guys wanting to keep a sleeper look. Good luck

truck shorty headers BARELY outflow STOCK truck manifolds....STOCK LS6 manifolds will put STOCK truck manifolds (or even shorty truck headers) to shame....
and as for expense.....the cheapest LT's that I have been able to find are $700 (not including the reat of the exhaust system), these manifolds with a COMPLETE custom exhaust (including Hooker Aerochamber mufflers, a new "X" pipe, and tips) comes out to only about $450-$500...how is that not cheaper than LT's for roughly the same power gain ??
I will agree that the truck LT's would be the best way to go assuming money is not an issue but since being a bartender at a 4 Diamond resort even has it's financial limitations I am looking for a more cost-effective way to increase exhaust flow and rear-wheel horsepower
I'll keep y'all posted
