I have the older GTech and found it to be very accurate BUT you have to zero it out before you start your run, if you are at -1 or +1 etc. it will add or subract you ET. Also you need to be on a very level road. i simply found a nice long flat road and run back and forth on it to get a more accurate avg in case there is a slight grade either way.

My normal avg. before my new tires was 15.30@92mph but since the new tires and altered shift points I am hitting 15.80s

Ohh yeah, the MPH on these things is WAAAAY off by the tune of almost 5mph. It told me my Vette went 112mph yet I only turned 107mph at the track and my trucks 15.8 runs gTech said 91mph yet the track said 88-89mph. Only thing that is decently accurate on these things is ET which on my unit is about 1 10th faster than track times.

I went downhill and it and chopped like a second off.
I think that is a common Ricer mod

Some kids at my college had a GTech they shared and they swore up and down their lil muffler'd and cold air intake'd Civics ran 12s in the 1/4 on street tires because the GTech told them so. So I raced one of em in my T/A on a lil backroad one day and even on Nitto's I beat him so bad that i ran it up to about 130 then pulled off the road, got out of the car and leaned against my door waiting for him to catch up. LOL

*I only ran low12s-high 11s at the time and not on Nittos*

ive heard that weight reduction is helpful reducing et times.
Ill releive you of a pound or too if youll sell me your g-tech cheap!
i haven't gotten my moneys worth from it yet. i haven't used it much because it is hard to find a flat, quiet road. check out my website in my profile and you can see pics of the new g-tech. it has a nice blue LCD at night.
