cam 112+4

Default cam 112+4

say the cam has a 112+4, can you put it in so that it isnt advanced any, so that it is really hitting on the 112 lsa. Or am i making any sence at all?

The +4 is 4* advance ground into the cam. The LSA (lobe seperation) does not change.
As I understand it.

Yes, if you retard it 4 degrees it would be the same as a 112+0 or 112 LSA and 112 ICL. If you install it dot to dot it would be a 112 LSA and 108 ICL. And trever1t is right, LSA is ground into the cam and cannot be changed.

i know it cant be changed on the cam itself!! lol!! but retard it that 1, 2, 3, or 4 degrees. seriously what would be the difference between a 112+4 and a 116+0 both being 224/224 with .58x/.58x lift

difference is the speration angle between the intake and exhaust lobes

112+2 112+4 112+30 is still 112* between the lobes

all the +# does is pre dial in the cam if you didnt per say have an adjustable timing set

You can have a custom ground cam to those specs if you want. I had mine ground on a 110*+0. Otherwise you need an adjustable timing set for those type of adjustments.
