neither I just cut him all kinds of deals because he is a regular at my shop and so he said he would cut me a deal. There is a guy around here that did 4.10 and he said he just had to have his computer programed and it lowered the cruising rpm, idk I'm new to the whole gear thing and I have no idea what actually works and what doesnt.

In a small engine like the 4.3 or 4.8, lower gears are a good choice. My 4.8 work truck with 30" tires and 4.56's is fun to drive on the highway just as much in town. With the 3.73's the truck couldn't even take on the slightest uphill grade without lots of throttle input and downshifting. I used to keep it in third just because the engine lugging and constant downshifting was driving me nuts. Now with it running at approx. 2500rpm at 70 mph it pulls up just about any hill and maintains speed with very little throttle.
The higher the rpm, the happier these little low torque engines are.
