Cam
I have an '01 ECSB Z71, 4'' lift, 315/75R16s, brute force cold air, 3.73 rear, stock stall.
Based off of the following mods:
- GMPP LS6 Heads w/ Comp springs
- Typhoon intake w/ 85mm TB
- Comp 1.75 rockers/pushrods/lifters
- Pacesetter Long tube headers
- Flowmaster Supper 44 w/ 2.5 pipes
- Comp 3 way timing set
Which of the following cams would provide the BEST gain in Torque and HP (emphasis on torque) from low end through mid range without a sky high RPM powerband?
- Thunder Racing "Old Man Truck Cam" Duration @ .50" lift: 214/220 (int/exh) Valve lift: .600/.523 (int/exh) 115 LSA
- Crane Truck Cam #1449545 Duration @ .050" lift: 200/208 (int/exh) Valve lift: .502"/.502" (int/exh)
- COMP XFI G3 XFI 260 HR15 Truck Cam Duration @ .50" lift: 206/212 (int/exh) Valve lift: .513"/.520" (int/exh) 115 LSA
- COMP Tri-Power Xtreme TPX 254HR-16 Duration @ .50" lift: 202/212 (int/exh) Valve lift: .507"/.500" (int/exh) 116 LSA
I am well aware of other options such as gears and a higher stall. But as of now, all I want to do is fine the best cam for the setup I have. When I do, a tune will bring it all together.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

well one thing to be careful about is your 1.75 rockers, I know your old man cam has a very agressive ramp rate, tr recomends the use of 1.7's. I don't know if that little difference would cause you problems or not. I have herd that that cam is a torque monster though!

1.7s are recomended, but 1.75s are the limit. If you try and run 1.8 you will have problems....
