The tr220 cam would be just fine for ya even with a stock converter, it may be a tad slower off the line but would still pull great up top and have a good sound to it. You don't have to have a stall converter with a cam like that even though it is recommended for performance. I've been running a stock 4l60e and stock converter in my 370 with a 244/248 cam for the past 8 months. Its my daily driver an it drives around damn near like stock. Your driveability is all in your tune.

It would sound really good with headers and Y pipe with no cats if you can get by with out them. The cheap $300 stainless steel headers with Y pipe on ebay in my opinion are a nice header for he money.

regardless of your cam its still gonna be a dog off the line without a stall
