alright so heres the list of parts im thinkin about putting in it-
-Comp Cams

Beehive Springs .625 Max
(spring kit for $300)

Magnum Pushrods 7.4"

Timing Set 7106

XR265HR-15
1400-6700 Rpms
LBS - 115
Duration - In=265, Ex=271
Lift - In=0.558, Ex=0.563

Hydraulic Roller lifter
850-16

Speed Pro Pistons w/ Moly rings

F.A.S.T. 92mm Intake & 92mm Throttle Body

K&N Intake

True Dual Straight pipe exhaust
(possibly headers if I can get some cheap)

that's all Im gonna do to the motor for now, the intake and exhaust stuff might wait a bit but im definetly putting those performance parts in it while I have it out. Give me some feedback on what yall think bout my list, this will be my first motor to rebuild so if yall see any parts that arnt worth buying or theres better ones please tell me but I think that I got it pretty well narrowed down.

Thanks,
Blake

I've heard from guys on here that the fast intakes are prone to leaking. Can anyone confirm that?

The FAST LSXRT "truck" intakes are known for being warped, leaking, and hard to tune for. The car versions are much better. I haven't heard of any problems with the 92mm FAST intake.

Blake, in all honesty, I wouldn't bother putting a FAST intake on a 5.3 with stock heads and a baby cam. Spend that money on good heads, a built trans, or a bigger motor.

There's nothing special about "true duals." Spend that money on a set of long tube headers + y-pipe. Single 3" pipe is more than enough for a mild 5.3L.
