In the process of planning the drivetrain for my 99 rcsb. Already have a 14b 6 lug rear end. Going to go with a 6.0/4l80 combo. The truck will most likely have stock 20s on it, 3.73 gears, lowered 4/6,
Looking for a cam and converter that will be decent for me. This wont be a daily driver..Probably never see a drag strip either since i dont know of one within 100 miles. Just something fun to drive on the weekends and mess around in.
What size cam and converter would you recommend? Exhaust will be long tubes with a cut out, normally into a 22" magnaflow.
I want something with a noticable lope, but still driveable since i will still use the truck for hauling stuff in the bed as well as hunting and whatever else.
something like a 233/239 from TSP? What recommendations on valve springs? Im guessing a dual spring is best.
I dont plan on tearing any other part of the motor apart, it will be a low mile junkyard LQ4.
Will I have to upgrade the fuel system or should I be ok? I dont plan on going FI anytime soon.

with lq4 at 9.4:1 cr, 224 cam and 3200 stall.
with lq4 and milled .030 317s or 243s at 10.2:1cr, 228 cam and 3400 stall.
with lq4 and milled .030 243s at 10.9:1, 228-232 cam and 3600 stall.
if you want 20s, i would look for lightweight centerline 20s.
you can go with a bigger cam but youre limited by compression and heavy oem 20s will be a pig imho and you will dread until you sink in more money so decide what your budget is and go with best combo for your money.
