First off you dont need the magnets because the lifters will stay up. RedPepperZ Came by the help and told us we didnt need them and sure enough we didnt. Well all but three valve springs are on the truck. While changing the 3rd to last spring, Jason's girlfriend comes up and gooses him and he drops on of the locks so Now we cant find the other half of it. While I was putting on the cam spocket I dropped one of the bolt down the oil pan. Thanks to Hyde I got it out with a magnet and wire. THANKS HYDE. So the truck sits over night all torn apart and I will start on it tomorrow. Hell Today is my birthday so I am letting the girlfriend buy dinner and what ever else she has planned for me later.

Re: Cam goes in tomorrow
Hey Red, just wondering if you got that cam installed yet, and how you like it? I went with the 54-412-11 cam, and kinda wished I had stepped up to the 54-414-11. It drives great, but I am wondering if I wouldn't have got more bang for my buck out of the 414.

Re: Cam goes in tomorrow
Man if I had a 3000 stall and some computer tuning it would be a beast. But i dont so i am . The cam is for sale now I am either putting my stock one back in or a smaller one for towing.

Re: Cam goes in tomorrow
So I am guessing you got it in and it didn't run well on the stock programming? I ran on mine for a LONG time before I saved up enough to get the tuning done. And truth be told I didn't notice a huge difference after tuning, other than a little less knock & ping at grandma speeds, which I assume is from it not running as rich. The reason I'm asking is because I am currently trying to get a 414 cam. I don't have a stall yet either, and was hoping to keep the same programming for a while since the 412 & the 414 are so close to the same specs. That way I can use the money for a stall instead.
