do u have to pull the head to install a cam iv heard u can give the cam a few turns to pump up the lifters an pull it out an slide the other one in with out pulling them is this true???????

Yes, it'll work on your truck. You can also use a certain size dowel, with one side ground flat. Do a search on here for lifter tool or lifter dowel and you should find a shitload of info. This has all been covered a bajillion times before.

 

TR 220. i believe its 551 lift so all you would need is yellow zo6 springs. makes really good power in a 4.8 and still drives great. dont think you could go wrong with it

 

I would call Comp cams and a couple others tech line then someone like Richard at WCCH.
Get a general consensus of a good cam then ask around if someone else has a similar set up and their impressions of it.
