current mods on truck? Which engine?
A 224/224 is a proven cam with great results. I have the Comp LsR 227/235 in my 6.0L and I gained about 60HP with just the head/cam swap.

Oh sorry guy, going in a 2004 rcsb 5.3. K&n intake, longtube headers, ORY pipe, magnaflow exhaust, efans, vette servo, ported tb.

Will be installing a trailblazer ss intake with the swap. I plan on spraying as well

I just don't think you would be happy with a z06 cam IMO.

A comp 212/218 low lift or a vinci 210/218 would be a worthy upgrade.

You can get by with stock converter with those cams, but don't go any higher than those IMO. Later on all you would really need is a tame 278mm converter from FTI or Circle D and you would be happy. Also maybe install a bigger tranny cooler.

FTI 278mm converter ranges from $329-$349.

Circle D 278mm is $375 with promo code.
