With a big lift and tires I wouldn't go for a big cam especially with a 5.3... I've got a comp 212/218 low lift in mine I really like. Turns my 285's just fine but I'm not lifted

richard's combo seems ideal for a 4x4 lifted truck as you need and should want torque to get them heavy wheels/tires going. only change i would consider would be the high lift version since your truck is an 08 and should have 243 or 799 heads which is a plus and which your combo should benefit from....

My truck works well, will work alot better with my new 4C multidisk I have to put in.
depends how far you want to go, 212-218 is a proven cam with a stock converter

what gears do you have? 4.56 would be ideal with those tires, and that would open up your cam selection criteria a bit.
