I'm gonna say it's the converter trying to lock as soon as it hits 3rd gear. All of the stock files I've looked at have been that way, and I would bet that yours is too.

I have the same prob also. On the third shift it falls off a little and then starts pulling hard again at about 4300rpms.

Dark, are you having idle problems or vacume problems in gear with the breaks on? I am and i hate it.!!!!!!

I agree with flyer..

but I would also look at your shifting tables.

kinda vague tho.. is it a long pause or a short hicup?
do your RPMS fall off, or stay right there?

the rpms jump to around 3500-3800 then fall back down and you hear the motor bog for about 800 rpms or so then it picks back up.

mine bogged like that before to.
but it was shifting into 2nd, and would last for a couple of seconds and then pick up, and go like nothing had happened.
wound up being the stock plastic accumulator housing in the trans..
dont think that is your problem tho..
I am leaning towards the TC locking up on ya.

Yes, read the file and look at the perameters for it to lock up the converter in third gear. The stock setting will have it lock up at 75mph if you are giving it 100%tps. (at least on the '99 it does) If this is happening at wide open throttle and at 75mph this is something to look into. You can up that mph value to lock the converter in third to a little bit higher mph to keep you in your torque band.

Log and check you KR values when this happens. Probably nothing, but just to make sure timing is okay.

Double check that all torque management is out of there.

Look into what oxidizr said about Abuse Mode Test too. It sounds like he nailed it.
