Default Cam is installed

I got with a couple guys from here/tech and installed a Comp 216/220, LS6 springs, and ASP underdrive pulleys. I must say, I am really impressed! It has a nice lope even though the Gibson is keeping it pretty quiet... for now I can finally light up the tires really good!

By the way, can you burn up a peg leg? I lit it up yesterday and afterwards, there was a new smell that had me worried. A little later, it felt like it didn't want to take off. Now it is fine.

Something else I noticed is that I keep getting the Random Misfire when it's idleing. When I'm driving down the road or idleing with the A/C on, it's okay. It sounds like a false knock to me. What do you guys think?

I'd really like to thank Larry01Z28 and 98TAauto. They really know their stuff and do guality work. They showed me all the steps so I can do it myself next time. I wish I would be around a little longer so we can do some more mods.

you have to raise the knock sensor sensitivity. Do a search and Im sure youll see it. The noise is the valves opening and closing faster and with more force. The sensors are thinking it is knock. Youll notice alot more once you have it tuned

I have 3.42s and a Powertrax in the box in the bed... Oddly enough, it hasn't helped with the traction.

Does anyone know how much power this cam is good for? I'm guessing 30-40 hp.

That's what I was thinking. Also I read something about changing the rotational mass screws with the sensitivity. I already have a Nelson tune for it but I will be passing near Allen's in about a month. I plan on doing a dyno tune then.

the misfires are just from a cam what you need to do is adjust the low and mid rpm misfire tables. After a while that code will stop the converter from locking which is a pain in the *** if you drive on the highway. Easy fix though
