Default Cam installed finally

Well got the 218/224@.050 110LSA cam installed in the 5.3 finally. The truck had long tubes, Y pipe, cat back, CAI, 3000 Vigilante and a tune already. We put the PRC duals and Comp pushrods in at the same time. I can tell it lost just a bit down real low, but the converter masks it very well and right after it comes off the converter, the cam pulls a lot harder up to the 6100 shift point. I have already hooked on an 18' car hauler and towed some lighter stuff around. No real difference in getting it moving from a dead stop, but once it's rolling, way better mid range. Here's an idle clip, I believe it was a good compromise between sound, performance and driveability. No power numbers as we were just worried about the driveability tune because I was leaving for TDY the day after it was tuned. I still have a TBSS intake and throttle body to install too. Once I get a chance to get back home and install the rest of the parts, then we can focus on getting the most power out of it.

Sounds bad ***! That combo of mods should come together real nice. I bet you'll surprise a lot of people at the track.

I agree with Andy, this thing will love a few more RPM's in each gear. I can see shifting it at 6100 on the street, but when you're on the track I'd let it eat.
