Default Cam for lifted 5.3

For a buddies truck. 2001 Chevy 1500 current mods are shorty headers, cai, tune stock 3:73 gears. Lifters ticking worse so he is wanting to change out lifters and head gaskets and slap a cam in while we're there. Truck has a 6 inch lift on 35s. What's y'all's opinion on a cam that he won't have to run any bigger than a 32-3400 converter and still be able to tow
Few pics of the truck

Between the big tires and towing a boat it would be hell on his trans with a looser converter than stock.

For the same cost as the cam/converter he could find a 6.0 and have more torque where he needs it with that set up.

I know he's not really wanting to swap to a 6.0. Just wants to help the 5.3 out a little. It'll get gears in near future I do believe.

Talk to Stock48. Something like a single pattern Isky 215 would work well imo.

I think he's gonna do a 212/218 and mayb a 3000 converter and 4.10s down the road. 5.13 just seems a little steep for a dd I appreciate the responses thanks guys
