Default cam question

is there any cam that you can use with your stock springs or push rods or rockers, would it even be worth putting in if you did it that way or should u just go all out?

you better change the springs ....they suck in the trucks.....buy some used ls6 springs if you are on a budget...they are good to .550 lift which is all you need for a truck cam......

Crane makes some lower duration tow/economy cams that I believe can be used with stock springs. Lift is right around .5" Durations are low, under 210* I beleive.

I am pretty sure max lift on the stock 5.3/4.8 springs is .500. You could get a 00 Z28 cam and it will work with the stock springs. Any higher than that, say Z06 cam you would need atleast the ZO6 springs as well.
