I put a 212/218 low lift cam in my truck a few months ago. I wouldnt hesitate to put a 220 cam in your truck. I hear the higher lift is like free horsepower, ie., no lose of driveability.

You don't indicate what springs you plan to use. The .551 lift can use stock springs but the .581 lift would be a bit much for the stockers. Many ppl here upgrade with the Comp Cams 918's. I was told recently that the Patriot Gold duals are the same price as the 918's. If this is true, go with the Patriots. The higher lift cam will put more stress on the springs and reduce spring life. The second spring in the Patriots provides a backup in case you ever break a spring, and the piston won't have to eat a valve.

I have a 210/210 555/555 on a 112 and I love that I have that much lift. I wanted more but couldnt get it.

I would put that in without a doubt, The only reason I didnt put a bigger cam is I didnt want to put a converter in my truck.

If you can get a split it would be better. For some reason these engines like it more, I wish I would have known this before I bought mine.

If you can get a good deal on it then do it. You won't see much difference in the TR220 though. That extra lift isn't going to matter on stock heads since they run out of breath at like .560 or something like that.
