Hey, thanks for that. I was needing that info as well. One more thing, I have the last four boxes for the cam input on desktop dyno, but dont know what numbers go in the top two. When I put in 114 for both I get a "A valid IVO value is required" error.

See if some of this info will help you fill in the rest of your cam blanks.

Ahh, ok, I think that the numbers that I have gotten are the .050 numbers and I was putting them in as seat to seat values. When I put them is as .05 numbers the cam calc lets it go. But now the numbers are all tweaked, TQ is too high and HP is too low?

by looking at that pic I see multiple problems.....
* wrong heads (choose "LS1 aluminum head"...if you don't have the file I'll e-mail it to you)
* wrong cfm for the intake...try closer to 800cfm
* use "hydraulic roller" instead of "roller" cam...it makes a HUGE difference
* "stock manifolds and mufflers" is gonna get you a mildly wrong torque curve.....the stock truck maifolds are pretty good so you can try "headers and mufflers" to bring the torque curve in a little more

sorry I haven't posted on this before now....I worked with Dyno2000 and Dyno 3000 for quite a while before I got to the point that there just weren't enough LS1-specific airflow files to be useful...I wrote a bunch of my own but got sick of it.....the software *can* be very accurate, IF you are willing to input ALL of the info that you need for EVERY part (heads, cam, etc...) every time you need a new part

Thanks for the reply. Couple of questions

* wrong heads (choose "LS1 aluminum head"...if you don't have the file I'll e-mail it to you)
What about the GM vortec 855 file. Have you looked at that. I didn't originally put the LS1 file because I thought it give too much gain. It looke like there is not much diff between the two.

* wrong cfm for the intake...try closer to 800cfm
Where did you find this. I couldn't, that's why I ask.

* use "hydraulic roller" instead of "roller" cam...it makes a HUGE difference
THese trucks have hydraulic rollers. I chose "roller solid or hydraulic lifters" but you are saying that what I should use is "hydraulic flat tappet rollers?" the first option does give me more of a peaky torque and horsepower curve, while the second moves the peak a little further down the torque curve and decreases just slightly

* "stock manifolds and mufflers" is gonna get you a mildly wrong torque curve.....the stock truck maifolds are pretty good so you can try "headers and mufflers" to bring the torque curve in a little more
OK, I plucked down HP manifolds and muffflers, it helped a little. the other options just gave me gains that are unreasonable.

Here's what I end up with. HP is close to stock (270) but the torque is way too far past the stock numbers (285).

Compare it to the shape of the curve here (this is the 03 curve with bumped HP and TQ)
