A few months ago I stuck a 2002 LS1 cam in the 5.3. It was a good mod for the money, but I want something a little better now. Money is a pretty big factor so what do you guys think about a TCI 3000 stall and a LS6 cam and springs? Which would be a better cam 2002 LS6 or 2001? I need some opinions. Thanks

 

Converter is a good mod, but you seem to be going about this all wrong. Make a Gameplan of what you need, get it, and move on to something else. I would get something like a 212/218 or smaller and a good converter. Check the for sale sections. Gold Mines

 

check out october 2004 issue of car craft. lingenfelter got a 5.3 to 413 crankshaft horsepower with only a cam 9(229/242 on 114.5)and headers. hope it helps some. pretty good article.
