218/221 is pretty small for 408ci. I had a 221/221 in my previous 382ci and it idled like stock.
408ci-415ci, I'd look for a cam with an intake duration in the 232-237 range. Exhaust durations will vary depending on what you are building. For that blower, I'd probably add 8 degrees to the exhaust duration to split from the intake. 114 LSA is plenty of overlap on a split pattern cam.
the 232/237 cam is available from MTI, called their "R1" cam and is very popular. www.MotorsportTech.com
Otherwise, you could have any of these sponsoring shops order you your own custom camshaft, they cost the same as their proven camshafts. You basically pick from a catalog of their different lobe designs and make your own combo. Set your own LSA, and determine how much advance to grind into it.
I'd choose the R1 for your setup though. If you order it, just specify that you want it on a 114 LSA, its available either way. (112 or 114)

Re: Cam suggestions?
sorry about the numbers, i tried to copy and paste part of it and it obviously did't work out. oops! it is a 218/221, 526/534 with 116 lsa. it is a lunati piece. check it out here http://holley.com/HiOctn/ProdLine/Pr...CC/Chevy6.html there are some more radical profiles there too. i can get a cam from them when i order my stroker kit for like $280. i keep forgetting about the larger cubes and the end result with a larger profile. <img border="0" alt="[bang head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" />

You could change to an aluminum block to reduce weight and run cooler.
