Default cam swap trouble

So I started pulling everything apart yesterday... When I got to the cam, I realized my stock cam was a single bolt, while my tr220 is 3 bolt.. I already swapped it in.. the question now is, can I simply swap out the timing gear for a 3 bolt, or is it more complicated than that

yeah all you need is a cam gear preferably from a higher LS motor like a LS2 or above. i have a 5.3 and its a single bolt so i think the older ones are the same. just get a new one there only like 30 dollars

LS2 Cam gear 12586481 - 3 bolt with four relucter bumps.
Did this to mine yesterday. you have to have it. The older cam gears will not work with the camshaft postion sensor.
