Default Cam Swap (Truck vs FBody)

Whats the differences?
I've done a cam swap on my camaro by myself using www.ls1howto.com about a year ago. I'm looking to do a swap into my 5.3l and want to know if any the differences in the truck vs the fbodies. I know when asked about cam swaps, everyone just directs people to ls1howto, and thats fine if its all the same.

you can pretty much do the exact procedure. You dont HAVE to take the radiator out but its easier. Basically drain all the fluids, pull timing cover pull cam gear, pull the cam out with 2 water pump bolts. Then repeat in reverse basically. Make sure timing marks are lined up and then your done.

the cam will fit carefully with the radiator there but it's easier with it out considering the radiator is very easy to remove and your draining the antifreeze anyway.
You don't have to worry about scrapping it up when removing/installing the crank pulley

It only takes another 60 seconds to take the radiator out.

The radiator does not have to be pulled. But it's easy.
