Default Cam wear question?

I put the comp cams 212/218 .522/.529 lift cam in my 06 RCSB with a 4.8. Noticed the stock cam had a weird wear pattern on the fourth lobe from the front of the motor. Here are some pics. Does anybody have an idea as to what might have caused this? It had 58k miles when pulled.

I put a cam looking like that on my bro's Camaro, ended up destroying the lifters

if you already put the new cam in, pull it out. you will ruin it. you need to replace the lifter

Looks like I'm pulling the lifters then. Do the heads have to come off to get the lifter out?

In that case I'd pull it out again, pull the heads and replace all the lifters, and seriously consider replacing the cam because if that lifter is chewed up then the new cam is damaged there as well. That sucks by the way.

Nothing but a light tick, on the drivers side.
