What are you going to do with the truck?
Are you going off-road at all?
Trailering or hauling?

Everything has a trade-off, nothing is all + if you know what I mean.

Yes I will be pulling a 19 foot bass boat from time to time and of course the occasional off-roading, but nothing extreme! I am trying tp put in the biggest duration cam, but still have the ability to do these things.

I put comps low lift 212/218 in a lifted z71 with 35s and 3.73s and it responded very well...tuning was done with a crappy handheld crane tuner as well...fwiw

I'd suggest you give Vinci Hi Performance a call, that's what I plan on doing.

I'm going to go with a 210/218 cam from them, likely on a 112LSA (their 062 cam)

This is in a 6 liter and I want big torque down low.

HotRod magazine did a cam test on a 6 liter and a 210/218 made MORE usable power and torque than the next closest cam, which was a 228/232. 1 point for the "baby cam"

Just something to think about.

Id reconsider the converter, thats a good mod for even a stock truck.

A tt3000 will keep your stock towing ability, so you could still tow your boat.

shouldn't be bad with a stock stall.
IMO that would be too big in a ec 4x4 with a stock stall. I had a 222/224 in my 5.3 with stock stall and it was a horrible dog out out of the hole.
