Nah, the yellow LS6 springs will be adequate for that cam

well installed some 918 springs today, i seem to be getting a tapping sound not sure if its from the pushrods being slightly shorter then what I need...

reason for putting them in is coz in the near future I will be looking into getting a bigger cam.... for what its worth the XR265 seems to be a nice starter cam, but not enough mid-range power for my liking....

any ideas on a nice fat torquey cam?

There's alot of possibilities, just remember, more radical = less torquey down low as the powerband will move up higher, and a higher stall converter will become a must

I wouldn't want to go too radical, my yukon is a daily driver so don't want it to stall or sound like crap everytime I pull around the block...

minimum lobe i'd go is what I have now which is a 114, highest lift I'd probably go is a .560.. still looking into durations, any idea's what durations offer the best lower torque?

A TB convertor will be going in soon as I get next paycheck..im looking into a budget build up till I can splash out on a supercharger

Your current cam is pretty well suited for low end torque IMO. If you're set on going bigger and plan on a supercharger, the Vinci "Trucker" would probably do well also (216/224 .551/.551 115). Should be a nice match with a TB verter too.

I did one with just a tune, but the TQ wasn't working and they didn't print me out a sheet..this was at a shitty dyno place over, thank god i changed..

Bud, is my cam really for lower torque? I'm not liking it honestly, the tuning is done spot on, I guess since it being my first cam I was expecting alot more! 4.10s are in soon....

Pewter, where I'm at we have noooo emmissions laws, I mean damn it, the amount of burnt oil we release in the air on a daily basis is just crazy! STOCK cats here are cheap as chips lol

Well, I wouldn't call it a low end torque cam, but compared to alot of the bigger grinds that guys are running it is. As you go bigger in duration, the powerband will move up also. The 4.10's will definitely help though
