wow, i figured most of you guys were running bigger cams than what you all are suggesting.

i have been looking into the MS3 cam with about a 3600 but i am just not sure yet.

this is still going to be my DD and something i can take to the track on the weekends as well

figured I would want to get as much power out the the 6.0 I can.

what other suggestions do you guys have?

Also when I put the heads on should I look at maybe throwing some better injectors in? They are stock and the mods to the truck are pullies, CAI, cam, efans, tune, exhuast, and headers. Would I benefit a whole lot by pulling the cats off with this setup? Thanks

Shoot, when I'm just driving around, I never even get to 2500 rpm. Just going with the flow of traffic there's no reason to exceed 2000 rpm. So if I could get 300rwtq @ 1500 that would kick *** considering my stock LQ9 makes 300rwtq @ 4000 and 275 ft/lbs @ 3000

i say a 228/232 cam with a 3600 or 3800 would be a good combination..

For who? You maybe? Definitely not the daily driver guys on here. Take a stab at what my daily driver converter stall speed is.

Any guess?

It's below 2000.

For my displacement, it's 1750-1850.

None of us on this board are asking about what converters to put into our 2000lbs 7.0L cars. IMO, no daily driver camshaft, regardless of motor size, should ever exceed 220/226, and the stall speed of the converter should be kept stock, aka 1900-2200.

lq4 tr224-112. crew cab truck 4.10 gears yank 3000 stall. swapping to tbss intake and getting a blackbear tune at the end of this month. engine has been in for 2 weeks and will beat the pants off of the engine set up in my sig(which i need to update). choppy idle and power everywhere. highly recommend. and yes i drive it everyday.

InchUp give me my stock 6L cam back!!!! On another note. If someone wants to do some testing or help fund testing I'm all game. I would be willing to do a back to back comparison on my combination of the vinci 210/218 vs my 218/224 cam. Fact after driving it a week or so I'm almost tempted to go with the smaller of the two. There might be a cam up for sale soon. My gas mileage on this new 6.0 is complete ****. You'd be lucky if I'm getting 16MPG taking it easy. Time to take the fuel economy back along with my lower end torque. This cam may be coming out after getting some dyno numbers and track times. Then run through the same scenario again. Anyone with a 210/218 want to trade cams?

the 6.0 gets **** mileage regardless of cam.

On stock cam with 93 tune I got 12.6 last tank. I didn't go WOT even 1 time.

Have you towed with your truck and what size tire do you have on your truck? What kind of exhaust do you have, and I am guessing you have a 4L60E? Thanks for the info
