Would I be over stalling the 228 with the 4k?

4 K Stall is pretty healthy. I would do an eps cam. There lobes are awesome. I would call geoff and have him spec you one. The tsp cams are designed for lighter y and f bodys.

really? this is the first time i have heard of this. what does it matter when u are talking ls based motors?

Not really worrying about a custom grind at this point, just want a good dd cam tht pulls hard an sounds nasty. So havnt really gotten a clear answer.

You got a lot of converter esp for a dd.. The 228 shouldn't be too much and would sound nasty or something in the low 230s and if you put it on 110 or 108 it should really cut up

Would below a 110 make the curve to peaky? Well the stall is 4500 right now with a ported ported stator, it will foot brake to 3900 , an I'm getting 14 mpg. But I'm getting it restalled to either 4000 or 3500 which would be better? The porteded stator is coming out to, cuz i heard it makes the stall much looser. Thoughts?

Also what all will i need for the swap? Obviously the cam springs an pushrods, anything else?Should I do ls7 lifters or will the stock ones be ok? New timing chain? motor has 60k miles.
