Thats a big cam, and between the 3.42's and the tall first geat of the 80e youre really going to need a big converter not to feel like a pig outta the hole. The combination of the 2 will definitely make your MPG's suffer.

I lost 1-1.5 mpg with my cam, similar size.

You will lose some mpg as most of said. Being this is your DD, I wouldn't cam it personally. Gas won't stop at 4.00.

I went for 14mpg stock to 11.5 all city, with all the mods in my sig. Its well worth it IMO.

i would dump the 3.42s for 4.11s and u mit get 12/13 and 17 highway

How you drive will determine your mpg, just like in anything you drive. If your worried about mpg and the price of gas buy a beater. My rt gets 17 with 4.30's and 31' tall tire. My HD gets 14mpg, and hauling the rt it gets 11mpg. my Honda crv gets 24mpg. When gas prices or high I sport the Honda

Bingo. I can have my MPG vary by 10 depending on how I drive LOL

If you can drive like a Grandpa and never get on it you will not notice much of a difference....but what's the fun in that?
