Camshaft and tune(s) question??
NOOB here, I am currently running the comp XR275, (.566/.568 lift on a 112 lsa) with a Diablosport Predator loaded with a Nelson custom tune. I am aware that "real tunes" are much better, but i already had the Diablosport Tuner when I got my cam. My truck runs great from what i have to compare it to. My question is will a "real tune or Dyno tune" really help the performance. The motor lunges and searches when I come to a stoplight for a few seconds. This is my first cammed vehicle but 3rd cam! I am guessing this is normal but i have heard that a good tune will fix the hunting and searching as well as bringing out more power. I also think that a higher stall would help. Keep in mind my 1.8 rockers bring my lift to .600/.601 according to my math. Any info would be great!
Ps other cams I tried;
Comp Thumper,219/233, 109 lsa, great power, no vacuum for brakes!! Very Lumpy idle.
Comp Xr265, 212/218 low lift, 114 lsa Excellant all around cam! No complaints
Comp XR275 .222/224 112 lsa, Awsome power, perfect lumpy idle.
