Default Can anyone help me with mufflers

Ok what will my 99 silverado 2wd 5.3 auto swb reg. cab with an airaid tb spacer, airaid intake, hypertech programmer, and true duals with 2.5'' pipes cut out the y-pipe and run duals from there and leave factory cats back to 40 series offset in/ center out orig. mufflers and either dumped after the axle or run 2.5''/4'' 18'' long chrome tips out hte sides at 45 deg. or straight out the back or no tips at all and cut the pipes off right before the rear bumper starts to hide em??? Will it be deep and quiet at idle and when driving around town will it be kinda loud but mostly deep sound and when i floor it from a stop will it be REALLY DEEP AND MEAN AGRESSIVE sound?????? Hope someone can help. thanks

if you are going true duals i would put in a x pipe right after the y pipe. flowmasters sound good. they just have a drone to them that a lot of people do not like. i went to magnaflow.

yeah i do. sorry, i was having a brain fart and was just giving you some ideas on other stuff to try instead of answering your question. i've been told that the x pipe will quieten down certain mufflers if that helps any. there are several people on the site with sound clips. if you have trouble finding them then pm ILLNALI. i think hes tried several different setups and can give you some idea. sorry i couldnt be more help and about getting

btw, running my single flow(either a 40 or 50 series) it is almost unnoticeable at low rpms but when i get on it its loud enough to annoy people. i have it turned down before the axle and its single in single out

Thats cool man. SO no one can tell me if it will have a VERY MEAN AGRESSIVE sound when i stick on the floor from a stop? Cause my friend has the same setup and his is quiet and deep at idle and when he revs it while sitting it just gets deeper and kinda loud and when he is driving around its deep and kinda loud but i dont know if it was him or not but i heard someone the other night and it sound ****** sweet it was really deep and mean and agressive. Thats what i wanna know if it was him or not. Cause if it was then im gonna go that route. So yea i just need to know if it will sound mean as hell very mean and agressive when i floor it from a stop.. thanks

im on my seventh exhaust. i have tried all kinds of set up's. i wanted mine quiet when cruising on the freeway. but i also wanted a deep tone while idling and while getting on it. i got all three with the magnaflow. i dont have cats so im sure that addede to the sound. spin tech is a good sounding muffler as well.

So there is really no one that can answer my question on how its gonna sound or if its gonna sound the way i described it. I just really wanna know if its gonna have a deep mean really agressive sound when i floor it from a stop. That is all i really wanna know cause i know how ther rest of it sounds since my friend has the setup, but im just not sure that it was him that night cause this sound was ****** mean and agressive. So i just need to know if it was him cause if it was i wont bother u anymore.. thanks
