Can a crew cab 5.3 be fast? Apparently not

Zippy, that's kinda like saying the Radix can go fast, or an ATI can't go fast. Just because a few people buy a kit but don't optimize it for darg racing doesn't mean the kits can't be made to go go fast. You of all people know that it's all about the combo and not 1 specific part.
I think the STS has proven itself over and over again with the GTOs, Angie@Thunder Racing's car, my truck, Allen's truck etc etc.

I'm not saying that mine is fast but damn. Something is majorly wrong with your tune or setup. My best run to date was 14.268 @ 95.56 (1/4) in like 55 degree temps with plenty of wheelspin only being able to launch from about 900 RPM stallup. 60' was like 2.157 or thereabouts. I ran a 14.301 @ 95.29-60' of 2.201+/- in 88 degree temps just the friday before last. All mods in my sig except the latter I had cutouts. Plus now I have done weight reduction- about 150-175 pounds and running ET Streets 27". I am hoping to be in the high 13's come winter. This all on a N/A motor no spray or power adder and Yup, its a Crew Cab. Last weight was 4965 #'s with just a hair over a half tank of gas.

Needless to say, it WILL go fast eventually. Just pissed off right now.
