Default Can I get by without a re-tune?

My truck is in the shop right now getting worked on because I suspect there is an issue with my valvetrain. In case my lifters are crap and messed up the cam and I have to get a new one, I wanted to put a bigger cam in like a 224/224 or something like that. But because my truck is tuned for a 220/220 cam, do I need a re-tune any time soon if I put in a slightly bigger cam? How much of a difference would there be between my current cam and a 224/224 cam powerband wise, would it be more "peaky"? And the reason why I don't want to get a re-tune yet is because I have other mods planned and don't want a re-tune untill I get them.

it's always a good idea to tune for any cam swap to get the most out of the cam. I'm no expert but I'd guess you could swap between those 2 cams and not have much driveability issues but you still won't be getting the most out of the swap if you don't do a tune.

You'll be fine. Just won't get the absolute max power out of it.
