Can a stock 5.3L hold 600whp?

i think you could definataley do it if you put in some good rod bolts and rods and you definatley could do it. the thing i try to keep in my head is that the more fuel the better off i am. so i try to keep my fuel system over kill x10 .

pistons would have to be the weakest link..in my opinion..dont ask me how i know this..and i was just runnin 150 shot on a 5.3 when it let go

so can we say the weak link is the rotating assembly minus the crank?

you got it !!! that is definately the key parts to go bad past about 6600rpm with any detonation.

the crank is definately strong but the other parts are not garbage. most people that run a turbo dont spin their motors that high so rods and rod bolts wont see as much of a load. the pistons will break in a heartbeat if you let it knock but keep a very close eye on the tune and they will take a lot of power too.

8.8" is hella cheap compared to a new gm 14bolt. and fits right into my s10blazer + moves the wheels out 1.5" on each side putting the wheels flush with the fenders and allowing for a wider wheel/tire.

what did the GM 14bolt come on stock??????

also weakest part of the 5.3L?
Just put a good after market posi unit in and it will hold alot of power.
