For a while. I think it is more how you drive it than anything else.

Would the Trans-Go help? or would softer shifts in the new PCM tuning be better for longevity of the 60?

Well, when i got home from work yesterday, there was a fedex package for me. If It was the intake tube that i was short. So i replaced my patch job with the new one. Fit was perfect. My patch job must have been restricting the flow because i noticed the new one had a quicker trottle response. So off to the track i went. On the way there i hooked my predator up to monitor the O2's and KR. I got on it a few time on the way there and right away i got 6-7* KR and O2's were the 820 range, not good. When i got to the track i made a couple of runs. 1st run 60'=2.16, 1/8=9.342@77.16mph, at about 1,000' i had to let up because it was getting 7* of KR and was running real lean. So i coasted thru the 1/4 at 15.035@92.8. So i waited till the air cooled down and made a second run, same thing again had to get out of it at the end and still ran a 15.011@91.46. My guess is that the new tube must have a better seal than my patch job and i'm getting a better flow and more boost. This is definately a 14 second truck. Talked to allen and i'm going next week to get it dynoed, then i can get some real times.

If I was running that lean, the last thing I would do would be running it at the track. Good way to crack a piston. Better to wait until it is tuned properly before going all out with it. You got lucky.
