Default Can You Say Turbo Update

WELL I FINALY MADE IT TO ALLEN'S TO GET IT DYNOED TUNED AND HERE ARE THE RESULTS 348HP@4640, 394TQ@4644 AND THIS IS AT 5psi OF BOOST. I'D LIKE TO DYNO IT AGAIN BECAUSE AFTER THE 500 MILE TRIP HOME IT HAD A CHANCE TO DO THE RELEARN AND I KNOW IT GAIN SOME POWER. NOTHING LIKE 2ND GEAR RUBBER AT 3/4 THROTTLE.

Sweet torque curve!! Did you hit the speed limiter or something? Looks like the HP curve was still rising @ 4500.

How is the fuel mileage doing now?

Interesting - looks like the more boost you produce (i.e. higher RPM's), the more you lose in power. Maybe that thing needs an intercooler after all... even at 5 psi

It looks like the only thing falling off was the TQ curve which we both know is normal. Remember it's a turbo not a blower so boost is constant after about 3200rpm on his truck.

That being said, if he was producing more boost IE going higher than 5psi he would start to get diminishing returns, just like I do Testing on my truck showed that anything over 10psi was worthless because I am at the breaking point for IATs as is and turn up the boost even a couple pounds and the IATs go through the roof and I make no extra power.

IMO there are 3 ways you can run this kit. Do a fuel system and intercooler. Do a methanol kit. OR if you wanna go 10psi+ do an intercooler AND meth kit!

IN FACT THE THE CHART IS CUT OFF BEFORE IT REACHED FULL HP FOR SOME REASON. I'M PULLING THE CAMPER AGAIN THIS WEEKEND AND I'LL SEE IF THERE'S ANY CHANGES FROM THE 3.5 MPG I GAINED BEFORE I GOT IT TUNED.
