Plain and simple like the title says. Is there room to remove the oil pump on our trucks without lowering the oil pan? If so, who's done it and what wrench did you use to get in there and loosen the bolt? That is all

I wouldn't worry even if I did drop it, with the protective windage tray and the fact that everything rolls towards the back of the motor it'd get stuck to the drain plug eventually Once loose I plan on tying fishing line around it, then pull it out. Then I'm going to leave about 4 foot of fishing line on it when installing so everytime I drop it I can pick it up until I get it started

i had to loosen the pan until there was only a thread or two left in the block and it wasnt easy to get it done and use a magnet the oil pan is alumium so the magnet will only stick to the bolt because i am putting a 100$ on it that you drop the bolt at least once i did a couple times and sucked it right up with the magnet
