Tell us a little bit about the truck, and what your goals and plans are first..

it's an '01 Denali XL - people hauler (not really offroader)

just want more pep, better mileage, and not obnoxious (but throaty sounding is totally cool) when you get on the gas

I was able to get mine smogged with 553rwhp/585rwtq...complete with visual.

What the smog tester could see (all CARB approved): Maggie 122hh (okay, this one was a little iffy but he could not tell the difference from a 112), AFR 225 heads, Volant CAI, JBA short headers, Magnaflow catted y-pipe, and Corsa Touring catback.

What they couldn't see/didn't notice (and is not CARB approved): LS6 block, Eagle 4" crank, Diamond -7cc pistons, Crower Sportsman rods, and LPE GT2-3 cam.

Obviously, the tuning has EVERYTHING to do with passing the emissions test...after that, its up to the tester as to whether they will nit-pick your mods.
