yeah, 256 is very steep, im not totally set on one direction yet..the 700r4 does seem like the best solution, but i dont want to have my truck down for too long. As far as my tranny now, it is def not built at all. Its got about 120k on it and totally stock..If i can find a tps like that somewhere cheaper than I may do that unless anyone knows of a good/cheap built 700r4.

If you find you a good core 700r4 then you can probably have one built with all the goodies for around $600. Maybe trade in the 4l60e to a builder for a little discount. The adjustment on the kick down cable is crucial though. You can burn it up in the first drive if it isn't adjusted properly. Just thought I'd forewarn you in case no one else told you.

Yeah thats what i have been reading about that cable. Oddly enough, my tranny fried last night on my way to my girlfriends house, now i need to decide what to do, im almost tired of throwing money into this thing, this is the 2nd tranny, and at 155k im not sure what im gonna do.
