Only a redneck would put a carb on a EFI motor. I say this with the voice of experience -My work truck has a LT1 with a carb. We had a 5.0 ford motor that I converted to carb for my dads' Model A street rod. Never again, though-over the last couple years I have decided that carbs are good for only one thing-musuem exhibits. Before the flaming starts let me say that I am talking about daily drivers, not all out race motors.

Yeah, I mean I can't tune a carb for **** either. I can make an EFI system more livable for the daily commute.

I wonder who's gonna be first to toss on one of those on their Z28 and be "heyhey, I got a carb'd LS1"

you could use fuel injection with that manifold....something like an ACCEL setup or whatever. it would make more power probably too....i can't tell from the pics of that intake i've seen but if they built it something like a pro stock carb manifold it would make insane power. it would be easy to maintain fuel injection on that setup, but you'll need a gear drive distributer and a FAST system.

Allright allright. To explain myself liking this manifold... Since I don't have much experience tuning FI like I do a carburetor, I would find it cheaper and a little easier to do this swap. OF course I wouldn't do it in my truck and if I do do it in my Nova I would eventually switch to FI. I am looking for a motor or actually trying to build a motor now for the nova so if I could find a LS1 for a decent price and throw that manifold on I would be in better shape, in my eyes.

I wouldn't put a carb on a LS1, but on a 6.0 I might. Carbs weren't ditched for power, reliability, or gas mileage. They were ditched for emissions.
