cats and cams
do these two work good together or will a good cam clog up the cats rather quickly? if i do gut my cats what muffler would be best to queit the exhaust back down right no my cats are keeping my exhaust quiet as i have no muffler and the only time its really loud is when its dead cold in the morning and i fire it up its loud till it warms up and when i get on it its loud other than that its rather queit very little drone in cab. so i don't want to gut my cats and get a real loud exhaust thats all raspy i had that with the 4.8 ut the cam and 5.7 fixed that so what sha'll i do? opinions please.
i've been looking at the hooker maxflow and aerochamber the maxflow flows extremly well and the aerochamber seams to do ok too but according to this https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...hlight=maxflow the maxflow is queiter than aerochamber is this a missprint or is it right and will the results change if the cats were not there?

I haven't had any problems with the cats clogging up. I've had my cam for almost 3 years now. Now if I didn't get the tune when I did, it would have. It was running pig rich.
By the way, how do you like the LS1?

i like it a lot just need a stall and its got a little piston slap in the morning but other than than its seems great. 20-21 mpg on the highway running 80-85. and the tc doesn't have to unlock to gain speed anymore like the old 4.8 did.
