Default Ceramic coating on headers

I have a set of Pacesetter LTs on my truck. The stearing shaft rubs one of the primarys when I make slight left turns. When I get off my *** and "clerance" teh header with my hammer, is the ceramic coating going to flake off, and start rusting, or should it stay on?

Cause its not the bolt head, its the stearing shaft.

i would say as long as you dind't beat the crap out of it. it should be ok. my asm's have taken a beating and where they were hit isn't rusting yet. now the parts that havn't been hit oare startin to rust up.

I don't know if that's good advice, but I'll spread the word!

WHITE - The coating won't come off unless you scuff it real bad with the hammer. Use some leather or something to avoid scratching the coating.
