um.. guys... while putting the rear back together, I emptied the old differential oil...and only now realized how little was in it. There seems to be mixed opinions on the capacity depending on the rear end used. Lets put it this way. I had about 1.25 quarts of old fluid in there when I emptied it in an old oil bottle. That's just over 1 liter. I'm heading out now to put the wheels back on and will go for a ride before trying the bearing. I'm assuming that's not normal, but also assuming this didn't cause any problems considering the leftover fluid had no particles in it at all.
When I checked the fluid 2 weeks ago, it didn't seem that low.

Well, changed the other front bearing. Nothing different unfortunately. Any other suggestions? If this was my secondary car, fine, i'd drive it till something broke. But I don't want to be stuck with a truck on the side of the highway 300 miles from home at 2am. DAMN TRUCK IS TOO DAMN TOUGH FOR IT'S OWN GOOD!
