LOL There are a few others lurking around on here from eastern nc. You should plan a trip out to Jacksonville, over to coastal plains dragway. Test and tune/ street grudge racing are on fri nights

Let us know how that worked out. I was with Trever, sounded like a bad wire.
I had a bad wire once and it ran like ****, thought I'd gotten hold of bad gas, cause it started right after a fillup.

Don't feel bad. I had the same issue today on my old S10 blazer with 350.
Put new plugs in it and we started to adjust the carb. We've been out there for hours trying to get it adjusted but it keeps backfiring and fouling.
Finally a lil bit ago I was like. "It has GOT to be those damn plugs" They were gapped at .35 from the box and with HEI distributor they are supposed to be gapped at .45
Gotta go out later and regap them and start over.

Well gapping turned out not to be the issue after all. I took the truck to work this morning and it ran fine till it got up to temp and then started the sputtering **** again. I'm reinstalling the stock plugs and praying its not a wire. To be continued.....
