IM puting my cam in tomorow and my dad said i needed to change the lifters my truck has 130k on it so i went and priced some at oriellys 250bucks they raped me on gaskets allready just want to know if changing them is the best bet

Unless you feel like pulled heads keep what you have.. The new gm stuff is way better then the old dinosaur gm stuff...

you dont have to change rollers when u change cams like u did back in the old days when they were solids. and like mentioned before even if u still want to change them the heads have to come off to do so..

changing out lifters when doing a cam swap is from the old school days .....

the lifters in your truck are a roller style and not a flat tappet

take the gaskets back if you haven't already opened the boxes . . .

. . . use the search and save yourself some money by not buying gaskets that are not needed

I would put some ls7 lifters in there, i think they're around 120 bucks. I didnt change mine and now i'm starting to get some lifter tick(80k miles)
