Default Charles Probst Corvette and fuel injection tuning book

Anybody have or read this book? It was suggested to me by Ken Kelly, the guy that writes LS1edit software. I ordered it tonight, along with a Cheech and Chong DVD. It will hopefully help me get the fuel tuning help I need down to a science, as well as other tricks he has under his sleeve. I love to read these old timers' tricks that still aplly to newer cars.

If its the one I'm thinking of (red and white cover, with the L98-LS1 on the over) then yes it is a very good book, probably one of the best I have seen in a long time.

"LS1 edit fuel injection tuning" and "Cheech and Chong" = potiential for bad things. heyyyy mannn what happens if you push that button?

I hear thats the second most ordered combo from Amazon.com behind "knock sensor deactivation" and "The three stooges".

J/K - Let us know how that book turns out. I've heard it mentioned several times in the tuning section over the years. Either its good, or its the only choice.

hehe, forgot I put that in there. I had previously put a DVD in the website cart a while ago, and it was still there when I went to order my book, so said what the heck. Anyway, should be a good book! Hope I can understand half of it. Sam

I already have Corky Bell's "Supercharged". It is an EXCELLENT book also! It has lots of old timer tricks, and lotsa stuff. I think Corky either owns or is involved in Cartek??? He knows his stuff. Sam

Great book but some of the information will only work on the corvette, all in all it's a very informitable book and should at least bring to light some of the minor aspects that we all overlook. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

As long as it contains lots of ideas and theories that work, it will be invaluable. After reading lots of tuners suggestions and ideas on the edit mailing list, I would like to try to do stuff myself, since there are so many varying opinions on the same issues. It is really confusing reading two different expert tuners saying opposite things!?
I think maybe if I pay lots of attention, and reqad lots, I may pick up some good stuff. If only someone here in Alaska could show me in person, that would be awesome! Sam
