Default Check Engine code reads misfire in cylinder #7

my check engine light came on 2 days ago so i went and had it read and its showing a misfire on cylinder #7. before i left the auto store i got under the hood and checked all my plug wire connections then got back in the truck and started it up and the light went off then came back on about 5 minutes later while i was on my way home. when i got home i checked the connections again and then started the truck and the light was still on. now the check engine light flashes when im driving usually when i get over 2000rpms it just constantly flashes. its been raining and i really haven't had the time to get under the hood and check the plug or plug wires on that cylinder im hoping thats all it is anybody had similar problem?

random multiple misfire...

its one of 3 things. spark plug, plug wire or coil pack.

there is one more possibility being its cylinder #7. we dont want to speak of that just yet though lol. im sure one of the above will get you running perfect.

^^^^ constant misfire on #7 would scare the heck out of me.

Look at the plug. Verify spark. Keep your fingers crossed.

its not making any noticeble noises, and it doesnt idle rough
ive look at the plug and compared it to a spark plug chart and it looks normal to me. the only thing keeping me from thinking its the wires or the plug is the fact that i just changed them not even 15,000 miles ago so it would be pretty unlikely one is bad but not impossible. so that just leaves the coil pack left, maybe the injector being bad/dirty , or... the unspeakable yal have been "hinting" around too lol which im guessing has something to do with the valves of that cylinder

i had pretty much the same problem. so just to be safe i replaced the plug and plug wire and tested the coil pack. it turned out to be the plugs sleeve on the plug kept sliding over the tip of the plug causing it to misfire. i just replaced the plug and it ran fine. hopefully its something that simple. good luck

Im having similar problems with mine but no code is being set off Could be the plugs, wires or coils. I'm leaning towards the coils being bad.
