I have a similar limitation with the Whipple you guys speak of with the Magnacharger.
Redline on the 1.6L Lysholm Twin Screw I have is 13,000 RPM. I've got a 2.5" pulley on it. Crank pulley is 7.5" I'm shifting at only 5200 even though the bottom end and springs will take 5600. Compressor input rotor speed is 15,600, and second rotor speed is an astounding 26,000 RPM. That's 20% over the limit. I tried running the 2.625" pulley with shifts at 5500. It is faster with the extra pound of boost from the 2.5" pulley and the lower shiftpoints. I spend a lot more time between 1000 and 3500 RPM than I do between 5200 and 5600RPM. My only solution is an upgrade to the 2.3L compressor. Prehaps a similar possiblity exists for the Eaton. It would actually be even better to make an adapter to use a Lysholm in place of your Eaton. There are plenty of Cobra and Lightning guys out there doing exactly that swap.
Oh and no knocking side-mount superchargers!! lol
