That's a nice setup...Harland Sharp has been offering that for years for about the same price, same deal, you send em your rockers and they upgrade them. I wonder if one is better than the other (Comp vs. Harland Sharp)?

I've got the comp 1.85s with stock cam in my lq4. The stands and locks wouldn't work without raising the valve covers so they are installed with just rocker bolts. Look similar to the stockers, but the valves open a bit more now.

Comp 1.85s dont use stands. They are adjustables that use guideplates and are stud mounted?!?!?!

Dont tell my you just tried to bolt them down!!

Lots of people, lots! I seen so many threads with guys doing oil changes and finding needle bearing in the oil pan.

"Full" roller rockers arent the way to go, thats old technology now. Sliding followers/pads are the way to go.

Looks like good insurance for not much outlay. I may consider doing this for my mild cam swap (either 212/218 low-lift or 216/220, plus yellow LS6 springs & hardened pushrods). Also, Thunder Racing is selling the upgrade kit (not installed) for $134.95 (click here).

I wonder how hard it is to do the upgrade at home? Any special tools, or just snap ring pliers? I could do this to my stockers, sell my Harland Sharps, and maybe make a few bucks towards my trans...hmmm
